The limiting factor in the rear seat is headroom. I'm 6' and I simply do not fit in the back seat. I think 5’ 10" would be the limit, maybe even less.

We get compliments everywhere on the color! Under certain lighting (evening) it looks a cool, dark purplish/blue. You would not be disappointed. Night and day from black (we used to have another X6 in Sapphire Black - difference was obvious when they were parked next to each other). |

I'm confused
I'm very confused so somebody please help me here. Wasn't the 4-series created to differentiate between 2-doors and 4-doors? Aren't all BMWs supposed to conform to this new rule of even numbers being coupes and odd numbers being sedans? Why then is this a 4 series vehicle with 4 doors? BMW is contradicting themselves...

How do you find the ingress/egress on the 6GC? Do people find it okay getting in/out of the car? It seems pretty low compared to the 7 or X series. Sorry for the

A coupe can have 4 doors, and even 5 doors (A7). They just have tiny rear space. The old 1 series coupes are now 2 series... |

the 4 GC is definitely not roomier than sedan.. I work in a dealership.. own a 335i... back seat is smaller for sure in the GC, not mention headroom. I'm 6'2 as a point of reference. That said, car looks great! but no go for me in regards to space with family...

The 19" wheels make a humongous difference. It looks just right with the 19s, and awkward with 18" wheels.

When you step in, you feel like you are stepping even further down as the interior floorboard and seat are low relative to the door sill compared to other cars. I'm 6'4" and it's a long way down and up! It's definitely easier for me to get in, than out, as it's not intuitive what to hold on to when lifting yourself out (I find myself using my right arm on the steering wheel to help lift/push me up). Sometimes I expect I look a little silly getting out, but then again it's a 6GC so you can't feel too silly. I recommend sitting in one if it's a concern. It would be extremely difficult to ingress/egress if you have any disabilities. (That's the one benefit of the X6, as you step down - not up.) To keep it a bit on topic, I would expect a very similar feel in a 4GC. Biggest difference is likely rear seat leg room as well as luxury appointments in cabin (although 4's are very nice!). I can say it is a great/sporty feel being so low to the ground when driving. BTW, I'm no longer a spring chicken (just turned 40) if an age reference is helpful regarding the ingress/egress. |

Barring any shocks after I see it in person and go for a test drive, I'm all in on the 435i GC in Carbon Black! With two dogs, it would be nice to not have them jump on the front seat to get into the back (like they do now in my 135i). Even if the 2-door gets Carbon Black (which it should, dammit!), I'd probably still go with the GC.

The 650i is very luxurious, and has a big engine. Have you had any regrets so far? I think it will be interesting to see how valets react to the M4 in comparison to MB E500's, Audi S7's and BMW 650i's. To me the M4 is still looking too sober, considering what it cost (in my country M cars can only be bought pretty much fully loaded, that's standard here, the only thing optional is pretty much the Ceramic brakes), I think BMW should consider those factors in the exterior design of the cars, as the M3/4s in this case, compete directly against 650i's (both costing more than the equivalent of 108,000 USD // M4 without ceramic brakes) (there are not 640i available) contrary to the US, where you can get a basic M4 amazingly cheap.
