Ive been doing my research to find a fairing that would look as OEM as possible. The Thule 872XT doesn't appeal too much to me. It looks like a snowboard fitted sideways. So I just pulled the trigger on an Inno Medium. I know it doesn't fit properly, but I have an idea to make it work. Will keep you guys posted. |

Also, Fatlace/Illest was supposed to be coming out with a white camo version of the Inno fairing that I was hoping would be out soon.

Hi Guys, here are some pics of my rack with the Inno fairing.
I managed to find a pretty easy mod to make it work on basically any roof rack. take a look: This Fairing is pretty nice and IMO looks more OEM than all others. I removed the INNO decals to create a cleaner front. (BTW they are very easy to remove) Unfortunately the crossbar plastic pillars on the 3 series are in the way of the fairing's outer clamps that secure it to the crossbar. So I created some spacers with pvc tubing and wrapped them in C-Fiber vinyl and used longer M6 screws to be able to move the position of the clamps towards the center of the car. I actually "hid" the clamps below the bike carriers for a cleaner look. I think I might put a quick DIY if you are interested and of course if you have any questions, I'be happy to help! Cheers, |
