Car pulling to the left, burning smell from left

Drove to work fine this morning fine. Driving home I notice a strong pull to the left, no clunks over speed bumps or anything like that.

Park up but too dark to see anything, I do however notice a burning smell coming from the front left wheel, right one smells fine.

Any ideas to what this could be please?

Thanks

Is your wheel hot, sounds like it could be a seized caliper

Thanks, will pop it into my local back street garage near work tomorrow to check.

I've got the M-Sport brake upgrade I take it they are covered by the warranty if the calliper is screwed?

Actually thinking about it now I've had the front brakes creaking for a while now, low speeds just easing off the brakes, wonder if it's related?

Creaks not squeaks...

In the meantime you could take the car out for a spirited run and do several hard stops on the brakes from decent speeds i.e. 60-80mph. Obviously pick a quiet road and be ready to manage any increased pull to the left.

If you normally have a gentle braking style calipers can get sticky. Some hard stops may help to loosen things off.

Could also be a seized wheel bearing

Definitely sounds like a seized caliper, had the very same issue on one of my Audis

I'm also guessing sticky caliper. If you take the car for a gentle drive (avoiding using the brakes as much as possible) park up and if the disc is hot then it would point to the caliper sticking on.
I would avoid any hard driving or braking, not just on safety grounds but you don't want to overheat the disc which could cause it to warp.
If the car is still under warranty, whatever this turns out to be should be covered.
