nice trim.
Is that brushed aluminium with the M performance logo? did the logo come with the trim?

Many people have been sending me PM for photos of the car with the 437M wheels, cause they are worried about rubbing, so here are some more photos...
And yes, there is No Rubbing...

Love those wheels.... Probably my favorite wheels on f30s. Almost bought a set but couldn't find any in silver so I went aftermarket.

Keep the updates/pics coming!

The best exterior mod to the car since Mod 1 (H&R springs).
Love the wheels since it is the gives the car a genuine BMW look to it. I know there are plenty of nice wheels floating around at the moment, and I have seen so many that people have posted up and there are so many mouthwatering pieces of art (especially the Vosteiner VFF ), but I went with the F8x M3/M4 wheels.

tyres are 235/35/19 fronts, and 255/30/19 rears (originally had 275 in the rears but there was rubbing, so had to go back to 255). No issues with the tyres and the profile. Ride is very comfortable and the looks turns a lot of heads.

Photo time:
Beautiful car and incredible mods.

Do you believe the 275 rear would have been ok if you had not done the H&R Springs mod?

In the process, dId you ever consider going to 20" wheels?

Thanks!

A few members here have gone 275 rears on stock suspension and stated no issues. I unfortunately had the "slightest'' rubbing with my H&R so I went back to 255. I think adding a little drop to the car would really make it stand out
I personally don't want to go 20inch because there isn't a huge abundance of styles in those sizes, plus I occasionally track my car so I wanna keep it smaller. They certainly look very nice on an F30/80 though.

So I recently had an issue where the engine fan noise is excessively high. Really high. I know the F30 is very well insulated so you cant hear much of it through the cabin, but on the outside it is very noticeable and if you pop open the hood, It is damn loud!!!

Took it to the BMW dealer, and they plugged it into their computer and traced it to a faulty Electric engine fan. They acknowledge it was a faulty part (and they know that the car had an aftermarket tune too) but they covered the parts and labour to replace the entire fan shroud with electric fan and the sensor (parts alone would be $1000).

Been two months since the repair and new fan, and no problems re-occuring so far.

This is a you tube clip of the same issue someone else had that was exactly like mine: bmw loud engine fan noise

So its been some time now,
have had my car flashed tuned and here are the results:

Pre flash tune (With Bolt on parts - Full exhaust, Intake)
Made 197RWKW or 264whp
Made 370NM WTQ or 272W ftlb

After flash tuning
Made 250RWKW or 335whp
Made 520NM WTQ or 383W ftlb

A stock F30 335i makes 225KW (300hp) and 400NM (300ftlb) to the motor advertised by BMW
and to the wheels make 185KW (247hp) and 350NM (260 ftlb) on the same dyno performed on another car.

According to the tuner:
Now that is at a pretty safe tune of 15psi on the Stock Borg Warner turbo.
Stock cars run around 8 - 9psi of boost.

The stock turbo is maxed out at 18psi. We can tune it to run at 18psi to see higher gains, but you are maxing out the turbo and sacrifice the longevity.

Also I am running only straight 98 RON (No meth, no E85 mix), higher gains will be seen, but this is my daily and I cannot be bothered mixing fuel everytime I refill.

While most people look at power gains, to me this is not the critical goal, it is actually the Torque gains and I am extremely happy with it.

The car is now virtually on par with a Stock F80 M3.
