Phone randomly connecting to bluetooth and turning off radio
Hi, I recently experienced my Samsung Note 2 running Android 4.3 randomly connecting to my Advanced Bluetooth in my car and turning the radio off in the car. The phone screen pop ups and shows my phone number on the screen and the timer running, but there is no call being made and no bluetooth audio streaming either. If I turn the phone bluetooth function off or remove the phone from the car's paired bluetooth list, then it disconnects and I get sound from the radio again. Has anyone experienced this? Hate keep disconnecting and repairing the phone or turning the bluetooth function on the phone as I drive, then I won't be able to answer incoming calls without picking up the handset. Thanks.

I've updated the software to the latest from the BMW website, but still the phone will connect to bluetooth at random times and disconnect the radio. Wonder if it's more to do with the 4.3 update on my phone than a fault with the BMW's bluetooth system. Never had this issue when I had 4.1.2 on my Samsung.

Mine did the exact same thing the other day with my iPhone 5s - 1st time its ever happened. Happened about 3 times in a matter of 5 minutes. I rebooted the phone and it hasn't happened since, knock on wood.

Next time that happens, I'll do the same- reboot the phone, instead of turning off bluetooth in the car. My phone has the Samsung mp3 player as a widget on the second main screen and no way to really turn it off, other than press pause. Wonder if the phone is transmitting and the car's system picks it up as streaming bluetooth thus the system shows my phone on the screen with silence since the program is technically in pause mode.

I need some help with this same problem! I have an Iphone 5s and unless I turn the Bluetooth off on my phone seems like a phone immediately starts going on only on the car tho, caller ID shows "******" and I cant even hang up unless I turn the Bluetooth off... when you say reboot do you mean turn it off???

I still have this problem almost every other day. I can only guess that my phone is transmitting to the unit thus the screen with the phone and timer running. And yes, when this happens, you can't "hang up" the phone using the iDrive controller.
