Track My BMW Question
Good afternoon all!
So I'm a newbie to this forum and am anxiously awaiting a new BMW 435i coupe that just finished being built (tracked that via the BMW website). I bought through the BMW Military Sales Program (a great deal). That said, all the options, etc are listed correctly, but the only thing not listed are the 19-in 442M light alloy wheels that I added. Do those get added during the "finishing touches" part of the tracking process? The option was on my BMW order form so it should be included, but wasn't sure how this worked. What else occurs during the "finishing touches"? Thanks in advance and I'll post pics of the car once I receive it! And yes, I will use premium gas in my car! |

Your dealer should be able to confirm your build. Fortunately, if the car shows up with the wrong wheels, it's a relatively easy fix (as opposed to most other factory options).
The waiting is the hardest part. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I just called and talked to a BMW rep and she looked it up and on her computer she did have the 442 wheels listed. She said their computer system screen is more detailed than what you see on the web tracking tool and sometimes things may not show up. At least it's there and I'm happy now! Thanks for all the help! |

Once you have your VIN you can also check your build here:
http://bimmer.work/ On my build the option that shows the 442M wheels is: 2PL |

It's easiest just to call the phone number and then enter your production number. Then you can preprogram this to your phone

It's accurate now I believe. Has been for me so far since I started tracking January first. The automated phone line is a tad bit quicker by a few hours from what I've noticed. The actual Bmw people were never able to give more information than the site and automated line combined.

I had the same question when I ordered. The website had the wheels in the picture but it wasn't listed. I confirmed with my CS they were indeed part of the package and bimmer.work did the same

...and if you get OCD about tracking the trip of your car this site has a ton of information:
http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1181156 It's all part of the whole experience when anticipating the arrival of your "build-to-order" |

RAK,
"My" ship, the Toronto, just left Baltimore for the left coast. Was your car on it? It lost 1/2 meter in draft there; maybe the ship will be faster now. |

Way back when I ordered this while deployed overseas to the Middle East, I decided to take delivery in mid-April to avoid the crappy winter season of the Norfolk, VA area. Of course, this year we haven't had much snow (so far). We shall see how long that holds. I know I'm going to have to drive my BMW in salted roads, etc. I just figured I would skip one season. |
