2015 328i f31 exhaust questions...decision needs your help
Hi guys, long time reader here and I am debating on what to do with my exhaust. I really want to hear your input so I can make up my mind.
My car is 328i touring wagon withn m sport pkg and dual tips on the left side. Imho, I think dual tip on 335i should be the way to go on this wagon. Some friends and coworkers are suggesting the following: Option 1:do a muffler delete, and retrofit 335i look with m performance rear diffuser. Cost: 600cnd. My concern regarding this option: 1.warranty could be void by dealer or bmw canada. I still have warranty good until 2019. 2. Sound. I found a few clips on youtube with 328i muffler deleted but I honestly don't like the sound. It is loud for sure but it doesn't sound that good to me. Also I don't mind deep throaty subtle sound without the loudness from exhaust. I also don't want to draw lots of attention especially from cops or red light racers if you know what I mean. 3. Muffler shop also suggested to try with muffler deleted with resonator... so I am just doing for the look, which might not be a bad thing but my heart also wants a bit throaty sound from the exhaust with limited budget since I just bought my car. Option 2: find a used 328i m performance exhaust and add a rear diffuser and that's it. My concern: pricy... about 1000cnd and if I am lucky to find one locally. I think mpe sounds great and not too loud. And I don't need to worry about the warranty. However, we are back to square one on the look, dual tip on left side. Maybe I can add thicker tips so it doesn't look that bad at the end. Options 3: find 335i oem stock exhaust and resr diffuser. My concern: not a lot of clips regarding to how it sounds with this setup. According to my knowledge this also required some skilled welding job to be done properly and warranty could be an issue. I also don't know if the shop I spoke to knows how to do it properly.... again this setup is also a bit hard to reach locally... So what do you guys think? Any comments or feedback are welcome. |

Dont do muffler delete, it does not sound good on your car in my opinion.
For a good daily driver sound, get the Active exhaust For a the best deep sounding aggressive exhaust, get the REMUS catback We offer the performance exhaust but there are a lot of other options that sound better
