Mine works fine. I haven't had the car back to the shop since I took delivery so the car hasn't been updated yet (the ASS still defaults to ON).

What did they do to resolve it? I have the same issue after the ASS update, so back to the dealer we go.

They had to reprogram everything, the service guy said that at the time of visit BMW only had two cases in the states with the panic button one of them being mine. it took them two days to reprogram everything, but I think they figured it out now so it should be faster. I also think that if your panic button doesn't work there is a big chance that your alarm doesn't work as well. Now everythign works fine and I am very

Mine is all resolved now. They had to do a software update directly from BMW in New Jersey. I'll get the technical details later. Dealer confirmed that the ASS 'last user mode' setting is retained and that the panic button now works. I'll be back in my X3 this afternoon!

My alarm works. And that I saw with my own eyes.

I'll try the panic button and see if it works.

I don't usually use the fob, but the other day I tried using the panic button and it would pop my trunk, and yes I know the two buttons are close to eachother but I tested it multiple times. Popped the trunk every time. I guess I'd better make an appointment to have it checked out.

looks like mine is the same thing. I think I'll wait until I have to go in to get this fixed unless it is a quick job.

My one month old 335xi is in the shop for the same problem since Wednesday of last week. They were 'awaiting a decision from BMWUSA on how to handle the problem.' They gave me a loaded X6 as a loaner.
