Not sure if I am entirely right about this but I remember in my Audi days people were saying that the heat generated in the powder coating process was not good for wheels and could actually weaken them?
Makes the metal a little more brittle.

WOW! Those turned out great! Looks like you need to get some glossy black lugs to go with those wheels. Great work!

Thanks! And yes I think they turned out beautifully! Can't wait to get these other things done so the rest of the car can match with the black wheel look, starting off with new grills, tints, and new tips!

Man! Those black wheels totally transformed the look of your car! Are you going to black the rest of your car out? Badges, diffuser, side view mirror covers, exhaust tips?

It really did! I'm getting some black m4 grilles, black exhaust tips, black or carbon fiber mirrors, already have a carbon spoiler im going to get installed, darker tints, either an m performance diffuser or just painting mine black, and getting my brakes painted either black or estoril blue (if possible). Also hoping to get a front lip and the rocker panel decals!

Where are you getting the black M4 grills from? I would like to get a set also. How much does it cost and will it be OEM and a direct fit?

Man the car looks great! Now I'm thinking of doing the same instead of buying new wheels and tires.

I read on another thread that painting the brakes voids the warranty on the brakes. It may also be a problem when doing lease return. You may want to check with your Service Advisor.

Love the drop, do you have any clearance issues when backing out of driveways or going over speed bumps? I plan on lowering my car but was concerned about this. Could you measure how low your car is from the ground to the front and rear fenders whenever you get a chance? Your car is looking really nice. Hard to see from the pictures but do you have any gap between the top of the tire and the fender? I think you should get some spacers to push the wheels out a bit more.

Thanks! I have spacers front (10mm) and back (15mm). There is more room between the front fender and the tire than there is between the back fender and the tire.

Made an appointment to get my windows re-tinted next Thursday to either 15% or 20% using 3M film. It's been 2 weeks and my grills from JB Speed still haven't arrived, it's taking longer than I expected.

Got my new grills from JB Speed today! Fitment is spot on, quality is great, and it took less than 24 hours to get delivered (after ordering them 2 weeks ago).

Looks very nice David! Are your wheels 18 or 19's? Any clearance issues with your drop? Like getting in and out of high places, speedbumps, going over the rack when getting your car serviced at the dealer, etc?
