I dont know why, its a shame! Hopefully they will change their minds about that. Big push for M-Performance line is coming up, so maybe if everything does well, PPK will expand |

335i (F30) and PPK
Saw in a German Forum (www.motortalk.com) that a first PPK was installed last week. The owner seems to be very happy with it

As of now, most parts departments don't even know what M-Performance parts are available, so imagine how Client Advisers are dealing with questions about this line of accessories?
Dealers are going to be equipped with an F10 loaded with MPP to better get the message out, and have it on the showroom floor to force people to get familiar with it. Also there is confusion with M-Performance Parts, true M cars (M3, M5 M6 etc, and the variant line of M235i, M135i etc. So this is all stuff currently in the works to simplify and get a better understanding of |

Yes. There is additional cooling capacity (oil and water cooler) and upgraded fan that comes with Msport cars. This is required for the PPK.

Aha! So THAT's why there's no foglamps with M-Sport. And that's what those two radiator-like devices behind the right and left air intakes in the bumper are. This is good...I'm definitely interested in this factory PPK even more so now.

Really want the new engine cover.
So not to beat this topic even further but if you have PPK w/ the updated DME (Production before 11/12) and for example cobb ap does have a setting to work w/ PPK, does that mean you can stack tunes or is that still dumb?

My mind is foggy though. The ppk has never been restricted to msport only cars before as far as I know. I swear, this thing is a unicorn. Says 3 series Sedan and Touring here as for as model availability, no mention of M Sport http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/acc...l=F30&cat=1009 Further on Msport and Sport cooling: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=637828 Will there be a power bump for the M Sport 335i? No. We have increased cooling capabilities for the M Sport and Sport Line model [via extra cooler behind fog lights on passenger side - pictured right], but no power bump. Many customers like the M Sport Package as just an aerodynamics package; that’s why we separated things like the Adaptive Sport Suspension and Sport Steering as options apart from the M Sport package, so customer can make choices between aesthetics and functional enhancements. Right. Anyone who has an Msport can confirm by looking in the engine bay or just looking through the bumper. You can retrofit the Msport bumper to a sport/modern/luxury but it will not have the additional cooling unless you install those items as well (very expensive). BMW does things right-- they want OEM reliability to remain in tact. I don't know of any other tuners (currently) who are adding additional cooling capacity along with the tunes so you can flog them all day on track. Stay tuned...

EDIT: oops already covered. The sportline also has additional cooling. It just doesnt have the water cooler on the driver side. It elaborates a bit here http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=637828. The sportline and msports have an oil cooler on passenger side.

I think this thread shows that the m sport does have additional cooling: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showth...ght=oil+cooler

Perhaps M sport and Sport have additional cooling than the other lines? He lumps them together when speaking of the extra cooler behind the fog lights on the passenger side. |

Well - I'm here to tell you that my M-Sport has an additional cooling "radiator" on the driver's side as well as the one on the passenger side. That much I can verify. This would suggest that the PPK might have a significant power bump for M-Sport cars when it does finally appear.

Here's the thread from motor-talk.de where one guy has already got it installed with a picture of the engine bay too a little further down the thread.
20hp gain 50nm torque as previously described for about 1400 Euros. It's all in german, but google translate did a half reasonable job http://www.motor-talk.de/forum/ppk-3...-t4440918.html |

Well at least we know that it exists! From what I could get from the translation is that the performance is real and drivability is good. Its going to be a tough decision whether to go with this or the Dinan tune.
