Damn that sucks to hear - that sounds like a great price. I'd like to hear your experience and see those numbers!

What is your complete set up? Do you have DP and exhaust as well?

Results coming soon?

Pretty sure he doesn't have DP yet... Depending on how bad his experience was, I may go by and dyno mine w/ the DP to compare...

That would be a good comparison for everyone if you do that.

I'm going to wait till the JB4 stage 2 is sold as an actual kit, not an add on that requires extra work to remove....

How could you wait? I can't wait to get my upgrade tomorrow. I am glad I just took my car in for my first service last weekend, now I won't have to take it in for awhile until my next time (I hope)

I think my results are negligible. I don't believe the stage 2 was in effect or something because the 2 tests we ran one with stage 2 hooked up and one without and the results were very minor. Just in general the guys at carboy didn't seem to understand to much in the first place and even talking to them was difficult because their english was not great. I told them what the car is capable of with stage 2 and downpipe and they just kept saying not possible unless you increase boost and apparently I couldn't get it across to them that that is what the tune is doing, I also tried to tell them it was an 8 speed and they kept saying 7 so it really just was a bad experience overall. I really don't know much when it comes to tuning & dyno, I was really just trying to help everyone out and get some numbers to share but it basically turned into pissing away money and getting nothing out of it. I guess I need the BMS USB cable to ensure the stage two is even set to map 1 as I have no other way to be reassured everything is working properly.

That's what I was going for, a good comparison but no luck. Sorry to disappoint.

Stock downpipe with M performance exhaust is all I have on it at the moment. Was waiting to see what kind of results I got to warrant the downpipe or not.

I appreciate the effort, but it does seem like they weren't doing something right, especially since your torque numbers are so low. We all know these cars are little torque monsters. Oh well. But yes, you should definitely get the USB cable.

Yeah, something is not right. Your missing over 100ft lbs of torque.

I have had some bad dynos done where they got no air flow to the intercooler and the car went into a soft limp home mode.

A couple points. Stage 1 and stage 2, will differ almost negligable if you're running in map 1. Since you have a DP, you'll want to run in map 2 to get more power out of it. And the numbers do look off, both from torque being lower than hp and the overall low numbers. Just from the hp, it looks like you're not even running a tune. Just a DP with no tune should give you better numbers, or pretty close to what you showed.

(I'm not an expert so take what I say with a grain of salt)

These guys don't know what they're talking about, have a bad dyno, and/or dynoed the car in the wrong gear. I'd get your money back.

Because I don't have the mod bug any more like I used to. I came out of an E60 M5 so no matter what I do this car will feel slow.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Those maps look terrible, they didn't even smooth them out.... you may want to try this to make sure you're in map 1 before getting the usb cable but you WILL need the usb cable to get to map 2...

Oh, I think if you put DPs on, get it in map 2, you may change your mind. That will be putting 360hp/410tq to the wheels. Toss in some E85/meth and you could probably be around 400hp/500tq to the wheels. I have a feeling with a few mods this car could smoke your old M5.

Yep, I was going to say that about $1500-1800 in mods and your 335 will walk your old M5. It had 500hp, but a fair bit less torque and weighted very close to 4000lbs.

Being that the car is a lease, that's a lot of work for the only 2.5 more years I have on the car......

The 335i's one wheel burnout circus won't do all that torque justice off the line....and the turbos will fall flat on their face at high rpms where the M5 would shine. Not worth the time/effort IMO.

I'd rather trade the car in and get an M3 later on.

No way it's "walking" my old M5 with just $1500-$1800 in mods.
