Very Nice

You're averaging 100kms/day? Must say it still looks very nice and shiny I hope when mine eventually gets built, shipped, delivered that it won't be raining on the week I pick it up haha..

btw, how do you like the HUD?

Admitedly when I picked her up I went away down South West for the wekend which added 700 of those Km's

I'm finding the HUD to be really great, but there are a couple of things that are annoying though.

1. At night you have to turn down the brightness quite low from what the day setting is because otherwise you can see the luminescence of the rest of the HUD projector screen.

2. And during the day (Bright days) the surround of the HUD housing reflects onto the windscreen.

These are minor failings that do not retract from the fact that the HUD is a must have option.

For those that haven't seen the HUD in operation it shows you quite a few things that the brochure doesn't highlight. I also like the ability to turn the HUD off and to adjust it's brightness and it's visual position.

Here are a few things that it displays :

1. All navigation cues when you initiate guidance. In full colour (Well orange, white, light blue and grey)

2. Speed (including cruise settigs)

3. Seat belt and Door open warnings

4. Audio (Shows current station or track)

I'm sure there's a few more that I'm missing or haven't noticed yet too.

Nice car Paninaro! Glacier Silver and luxury line make a great combo.

I've only done 350km on mine so far, but will be doubling that on the weekend.

At least you've only got another 800km to go until you get past the break in period.

Hi Andy!

Great to see the beast mate - Ive had my eye out for it around town

I agree on all fronts witht he HUD. It is a must have, way better than expected.

Additionally I noticed once my iphone bluetooths (thats a word now) in to the car, i can hit the phone button and my call history appears in the HUD and I can scroll back to who I wanna call and hit it.

I have turned off the speech Nav instructions and just use the HUD Nav prompts. Really spins ppl out how good my sense of direction has become.

Once again grats on the great machine - we should catch up for a beer and check out the respective rides.

Cheers
Chris.

My luxury line also has those same wheels (arrives in nov) - just wondering how much brake dust is visible? and it is easy to clean the inside of the rim dish? i wish we could all go back to the dustless days of the 80's - also i noticed you have 2 exhaust pipes.. i was under the impression only the 335i got that option which looks so damn good

needless to say - grats on a gorgeous car - can't wait to get mine

Thanks for the compliments.

In regards to the brake dust I find that it collects very quickly. I find myself washing them down every couple of days or so. I have resorted to using an alloy spray on protectant by Armor All that repels most of the dust, but is not perfect. To wash the wheels I've found that Armor All wheel cleaner is the best.

The twin tale pipes are standard on the 328i but as you can see from the picture they are together on the rear left. On the 335i one is on the left and one on the right.

The E90 325i has the same exhaust pipe outlet setup as does the F30 328i.
