Rack Availablilty

Is this the standard F30 roof base you're using to install on the GT?

Shop BMW USA doesn't show a base support system for the GT yet.

Thanks!

Picking up our GT this week!

Thanks for the reply.

I saw where you were looking to retrofit a wind fairing. Any luck with that?

Thanks!

Hey Guys, here are some pics of the fairing that some of you wanted to see.

I will post a DIY on how to make this fairing work virtually on any roof rack regardless of the crossbar width or the pillars being in the way. This is the main issue with the inno fairing.

In my opininion it looks very clean and complements the roofrack.

Thanks! Yes, I purchased the rack from the selling dealer. The chrome side vents are part of the luxury line.

Has the fairing helped the slight wind whistle that happens with the rack alone?

Thanks!

Absolutely. It has helped, but there is still some wind noise coming from the rack... I would say its a 75% improvement.

One of the things that I like about this car, is that there are not many out there yet.
Some people have no idea what it is... and this little emblem, contributes to the confusion

Any links to where you purchased the fairing? Heading out on a road trip soon and am looking to add it to my GT as well. Thanks!

I ordered from amazon.

here is the link, pretty good price now at $74.62, I think I paid 80.00 for it.

Let me know if you have any questions installing.

Cheers,

Order the Medium one. It comes with all needed to install.
I modified it to hide the mounting brackets beneath my bike racks. The middle bracket is the only one visible.
You don't have to mod if you don't want to, Ive heard the medium fits with no mods in the 3 series.

GREAT Bluesbrother!
It looks very OEM in my opinion.
Did you feel any improvement with wind noise?

I got this shot the other day on a late afternoon when the sun was quite low.
I wonder if this is exclusive for the F34...and if more parts are marked like this.
