At first I thought I was imagining this, but now I'm convinced. More often than not, if my iPhone 6 is standing in the cupholder and in an App (iMessage is most noticeable), and I turn off the car using the Start/Stop button, some electrical interference 'triggers' an event on my phone. Usually this just means that the phone will return to the home screen, but occasionally stranger things have occurred. Just yesterday, the words "You Know" were sent to a friend with whom I had been texting (while parked in a parking garage). I finished what I needed to type, placed the phone in the cupholder, shut off the car and when I looked back down at the message string I noticed the last phrase that had been sent.

Has anyone else ever noticed these electrical ghosts?

I think you might want to talk to a priest to get an exorcism. I haven't seen this.

Is the phone completely disconnected from iDrive? No Bluetooth or USB connection?
