Start Up/Shut Down Noise

Hi Guys:

New to forum...

I just noticed an odd and new sound. Immediately after engine shuts down, I hear a mechanical sound from the rear of the car (yes I can hear the jokes coming) Oddly enough, I also hear the same sound right after start up...

Has anyone else noticed this? If it was happening before today it wasn't audible.

Other than my iPod input not working (even after a service on it) this is the first issue 've had in 10000 k.

Thanks in advance!

I've notice short sounds and quieter in the past. Priming etc. This is while I'm still in the car and right after the car after the car shuts off. It is a bit noisier on start up. Music usually on but not today. Guess I'll keep music on and alert the service department next time I'm in. Was just wondering if it was noticed. Probably more so in garage. Just tried it outside. Quieter and probably normal. I'll go take my anti anxiety meds now. Ugh

These cars have ADHD, constantly fidgeting and making noises. I became used to it after a while.
