Looks like the ship is making good progress -- it's off the coast of Cape Town now. I'm using marinetraffic.com to track the ship. Any other better options out there?

I got confirmation from my SA yesterday that the Primrose Ace docks in Baltimore on 01.09.2013. Then another 10+ days to me here in the DFW area. I am trading in an 08 Z4 Coupe for the new M-Sport. You can get detailed info on the ship on their website, www.molroro.com.

Another worry is the looming Longshoreman's / Dockworkers union strike, due to expire at the end of the year. If this occurs, the offloading of all container vessels could be delayed. The Houston Port Authority is quoted in that the "possible dockworker's strike could affect ALL of the ports along the US coastline".

So I can't wait to get my car! The wait is killing me! I ordered it Nov 1st and this has taken way to long. How long do you think it will take to get all of the cars offloaded and on trucks?

Come Primrose Ace!
I am in the same "boat" so to speak as everyone else who 's car is on the Primrose Ace. The last known coordinate that can be found on the map is somewhere near Cape Town, SA, however that was on 12-23. If you check the estimated time of arrival at Baltimore, it says 1-9-13. If you use marinetraffic.com and try searching for the ship it will say out of range. Fear not, the ship is not lost at sea. If you click on the "vesel" tab at the top, and then click on "Itineraries" and put in the MMSI number : 319730000, it will pull up the Primrose Ace and show that it is at least making two check in's a day. Unfortunately they don't give the coordinates to be plotted on the map for some reason. I imagine if you don't some more extensive searching on the net, either by ship name or the MMSI number, you might find more info. Hope this helps. I can't wait to trade in my "mistake" (2012 Audi S4) and get my 2013 335i. Man it'll be nice to get back into a BMW again. I vow to never stray again!

Does anyone have any additional info on the current location of the Primrose Ace? Would be nice if we had current coordinates.
The molroro.com site suggests it's still on schedule for a January 10 arrival in Baltimore. |

There is a way to track the ship at sea however it requires you to use a site or service that costs $. I just use the above mentioned steps I listed to get an idea of where its at. You might try looking at http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/index.html and see a past voyage of the Primrose Ace to get an idea of what course it took. That site will track the ship at see however it is typically very behind on its updates. I do know that the ship has made its way into the north Atlantic so we at least know it has crossed the equator. I'm guessing that since the ship is roughly a week away we might see it come near a coast line soon (2-3 days) where we can start tracking it again. My wife works for a BMW dealer here in the midwest and she told me typically when a car arrives at port in Baltimore, it will take at least a day or two for the car to be off loaded, clear customs, and then be loaded on a transport truck. Depending on where you are located in the U.S. while vary on how long it takes for the car to arrive at your dealership. Then expect them to take their sweet time doing the PDI (probably 2 days). I figure when it hits port, expect to see your car hit your dealer any where from the 16th to the 22nd. With any luck you will take delivery of your new ride around those dates.

As I was driving in to work today ( I Pass the port of Baltimore) I saw a ship very similar to
The primrose ace. I couldn't make the name on the back. I will try to snap picture on my way home. I am hoping its in port 1 day early, would make me a happy camper. |

I keep checking the tracking websites and it still says out of range. It did log a satellite position Last night around midnight though. When I look at the port of Baltimore, It doesn't list the Primrose Ace as an expected vessel to be docking or that it has docked. I hope that it has arrived early though. That would be awesome!
