Michelin Pilot Super Sport size on 19'' Style 442M? [435i]

Hey all, just got a 435i and know absolutely nothing about tire sizes/fitments. It's a '15 M sport with the 19'' Style 442m rims in orbit grey, on the run-flats the car came with. I believe it is a 225 front, and 245 rear? I'm looking to switch to Pilot Super sports for the summer, would I have to put 225 front/245 rear? Or is it possible to increase the rear tires to 255/265 or above? Might be a dumb question, hoping someone can help me out.

442m is 19x8 +36 225/40/19 front, 19x8.5 +47 255/35/19 rear

the rear tire size should remain at 255/35/19, as it is the max width for your 19x8.5" rear.

the fronts can remain the same (225/40/19) or increased to 235/40/19 or 245/35/19 which is the max width on 19x8"

personally, i'd go with 245/35/19 front as it will increase the front grip and reduce some of the inherent understeer associated with the 225/255 oem staggered setup.

Exactly the info I was looking for, thanks a lot! How would the ride quality (comfort) change with putting 245's in the front?

in theory it would ride stiffer with 0.15" less sidewall but i doubt you would notice. a more noticeable change will occur because of the switch to MPSS. better ride/noise and increased grip especially if you go to 245.

fyi, the MPS4S (basically the successor to the MPSS) is probably what you should get unless you're getting the MPSS at a great deal.

also look into the continental sport contact 6 and extreme contact sport
