Hi guys I'm sure TokenMaster is snowed under with requests. Does anyone know how long wait time is for details on getting pro version? Emailed begining of January a couple of times but no response. Don't want to keep adding emails to his list. Thanks

So, Premium Launcher is working again.
Version 2.8.0 is out and free again for everyone.

I emailed token master twice....Once on 3rd Jan and another 12th Jan and still nothing. Both times got an auto-reply, first was holidays, the next out of office

Try again. He is supposedly all caught up, so your emails are lost.

As I just wrote, "Try again. He is supposedly all caught up, so your emails are lost." If you still go unanswered after a week, then send me a PM with your email address that you send TM email from.

In the meantime, use Launcher PREMIUM 2.8.

I’ve reinstalled E-Sys and Pemium version 2.8 in my VM on two different computers (both Macs using VirtualBox if that matters). Why am I still stuck in this loop where it asks me to enter a token? Sent FTM a few request emails for the token over the past few weeks and no response. Not sure how I’m supposed to get out of this loop. Do I need to delete the old .est file or something?

I’m under the impression the token thing doesn’t apply anymore?

You should not have any Token issues with 2.8, although since you use 2.8 in a Virtual Machine, it would require an Activation Code.

Okay. I can try a boot camp partition. No Windows computers in this house so I’m hoping I can get away with this. Why does it matter if I run the launcher in a VM or not? Seems weird to treat it differently.

People were selling VM's with Launcher activated in it, and pissed off the developer.

I've tried making a Boot Camp instance on two computers and both keep failing me saying 'Unable to partition the disk'. Looks like I won't be able to code until I either buy a Windows laptop or get a response email from TokenMaster.

I was looking at E-Sys X but the website looks super shady. Idk if I can trust it.

Ah! This answers a question I had.

And it would surely piss me off, too, if people were profiting from the (amazing) service TM is providing to the coding community for free.

But the current activation code process is broken. If, like me, you run Launcher in a VM because you want to have it run in a "pure" (read, not mixed up with and other apps) Windows environment *and* TM is not responding to activation emails, there's a problem. I can't image how you and TM can keep up with the endless stream of requests from people like me. But we're grateful you do.

Far be it from me to "architect" something different. But I think TM should consider an automated process of some kind to respond to what must be a flood of activation requests from VM users.

Net net, coding is a technical activity ('cept for those folks using the apps) and technical people are gonna gravitate to things like running Launcher in a VM. If there's not an automated way for TM to handle the influx (really, torrent) of requests, there'll be no peace in the TM household. ;-)

I had the same issue, launcher (2.8.0) kept asking to generate PIN and didn't generate the .est file in Data folder. Then I downgraded the launcher to 2.5.3 and same issue again. Then as per your script, I change the system date before 12/31/2017 and ran the script. Now the launcher works. But I was wondering if coding the car with an older system date would cause any issue while writing VO/FDL code to the car. Has anybody coded their car with an older system date?

This is the first time I am trying to code, so apologize for stupid questions.

I own a 2014 X3 (F25) with no nav and EBT, and trying to enable EBT. Please give me some tips.

If you read my thread, you'll see numerous people having succesfully coded their cars while using my script with the system date reverted, so I think you'll be OK.

As I'm no coding expert, I can't give you any tips, but I'm sure there are others who can.

Therefore the software isn't valid on any dates before the 31st, whilst also being not valid on any dates after the 31st.

Basically TM had all launchers dating back a good year (I've tried previous versions) bugged to expire yesterday. Whilst I get that it's his software to do what he wants; a little transparency wouldn't have gone a miss.

Personally I won't be upgrading to the 3.0 pro version for the reason above.. until he becomes more clear and honest in what he's allowing us to install, run and rely on I would advise the same unless you're desperately in need

Whats the alternative?
