I have a 2013 328i. It had the tiny 6 inch screen with a very old version of idrive. I installed the NBT EVO and now have ID6 with nav, carplay, and the larger 8.8 inch screen. It cost $3k total.

You need a screen, infotainment computer/DVD (NBT EVO), and the controller. Also a bit of coding.

Depends on your current setup. Some may need a new mic cable, display cable for the screen, replacement USB cable and Bluetooth Antennas, new wiring if you are retrofitting the touch knob and of course coding.

If the unit came from Europe, you will also need the region switched to North America by loading the appropriate map update.

I have the CIC system I think, it's the big screen with navigation, HK, Office (I think that's what it's called cause I get text messages and stuff. What are my options without having to replace the screen or anything else besides the touchpad?

Sorry to break it to you but that setup is going to be the most expensive and labor intensive since you will need a new mic, bluetooth antenna and USB cable. You also have a combox so that would need to be disabled on top of replacing the head unit.

Your current screen can be used on NBT EVO with a voltage converter but the display will be very fuzzy and we wouldn't recommend it. We usually replace the screen as well for vehicles coming from CIC or NBT.

What about the NBT pro high? Saw some decent prices on youtube, menus are the same, but still look much better than the one I got

Did you do the retrofit yourself or did you use a dealer in the Bay Area?
