Production Problem: USB and Bluetooth

I am going to play dumb upon delivery and when I find the AUX missing will make a stink about it being missing too.

I figure I could squeeze some kind of freebie/store credit out of them because this whole time it was only described as the USB and BT.

So, from what I understand. The code numbers are:

S6NLA (with technology package)

S6NHA (without technology package)

is this correct?

If I were you I would make that stink BEFORE you sign the contract.

I am going to inspect the car before I sign off on it. I will have the most leverage that way.

Correct. You'll want to make sure either one of these are listed.

I have the S6NHA but don't see the extra USB plug in the glovebox. This possibly comes with the tech package? I do have the USB/Aux in the armrest though. Mine was built week 27 (finished prod Jul6) and arrived at dealer on Aug. 11.

Im probably going to reorder mine as soon as the new drive is added. It would seem November is when that happens. Anyone know if this change will take effect on F30 production after Nov 1st or some other date in Nov?

i just dont want to wait 2 MORE months for the idrive and blindly order in November and hope for the best. Ive already had my heart broken once via the missing BT/USB on my current order. Fool me once, shame on--shame on you. Fool me-you cant get fooled again.

What do you mean that idrive isn't available till November???

I just reordered cuz of the BT/aux/USB issue. Is there still a supply issue???

i think he means the idrive is being updated starting with november builds, 3d maps and the top of the idrive circle part will be an input device for your finger(similar to how audi has that little touchpad to input letters and numbers using your finger.)

I recommend you guys who are considering re-ordering reach out directly to BMW-NA to complain. They've offered me $1k credit off a new vehicle, aside from whatever the dealer and I negotiate, to reorder. Pretty reasonable, so I may take another crack at this whole F30 thing

New iDrive does sound nice, but since I'm not getting Nav, I don't really see the point in waiting. Touchpad input is definitely the best means of interacting with a complex nav system though, I'll credit Audi for nailing that.

That's a sweet deal. I negotied the reorder through the dealer and got Harmon Kardon at no cost. Also since I sold my Mini, BMW is giving me $800 towards a rental car. I think that's fair. Now I'm waiting to get a production slot. I would hope BMW NA would figure out a way to get us quick production slots cuz of this issue.

In the end i'll end up with a car that has more options than I initially selected (HK + Lighting) so I suppose the extra wait is worth it cuz I'll drive the car for at least 4-5 years.

Sad though that this is the first instance that anyone has been able to confirm on these forums that it was only the USB and BT that was missing and not the Aux. I would have actually taken the car instead of re-ordering. Oh Well!

If it is equipped, yes.

If you have the basic bt + usb setup, you can use a y-cable with dock-connector on one end and usb + stereo audio at the other end to connect your iphone to the car and charge it as well es playing songs and control it.
