Cynic in me says BMW don't care. You will get a new car, they get a new sale...no financial motive in them having the car found/recovered.

No it keeps saying the car is either further than 1.5km away and due to 'data protection' laws cannot display the location or that the ignition is on, i.e. its on the move.

Have you rang Bmw direct. The police did it when mine was stolen and BMW told them where it was

Damn perhaps we should lobby BMW to have a "eject seat" button on the remote as BMWs get stollen way too often

Yes I rang BMW this morning and they denied there was anyway to locate my car and all the advice on this forum was wrong! Another item to my complaint to them.

I tried that when mine was stolen, they said it has to be initiated by the police through there BMW liaison officer

Don't you have the option to blast the horn? Now that would cause an attraction. You might even be able to hear it yourself if you stick your head out of the door.
I bet you are ready to burst a blood vessel with all this frustration you are going through, and the lack of urgency from the police and BMW.

So the remote App allows you to flash the headlights from >1.5KM away but not locate it ? That's completely illogical.
