Ordered today. Correct price?
I ordered a 428i xDrive in Midnight Blue with the Cold Weather package today. Negotiated a price of $500 over invoice with the dealer. When writing it up, he told me invoice on the car was $41,772.
Looking it up online it looks like invoice is: $39,100 - base car 500 - paint 635 - cold weather 925 - destination charge --------------------------------- $41,160 - total He said something about an advertising charge that the BMW charges the dealer. Is that true? Could it be as much as $612 for one car? I feel like I may have been misled here - can anyone put my mind at ease? Thanks. |

OK, it looks like I have found some clarity online. It appears there is an ~$380 MACO fee (which subsidizes manufacturer advertising) and a $180 training fee (which covers ?).
With those two fees it works out about right. |

Yea, both of those fees are included the invoice price that everyone refers to on the forums. I guess some online sources don't show them, but they should be included. It sounds like the invoice price you got is correct. It should be about 7% of the MSRP.
