Just bought a 2013 328i GT - Should I be worried
Hi Everyone,
My wife fell in love with a Melbourne red GT (build March 2013) at our BMW dealer so we decided to buy it but now I’m reading up on all the problems with the motor that’s in that car. Should I cancel the sale or am I stressing over nothing? It only comes with a 5,000km/3 month warranty as it’s a used car but there is an option to buy an adfitional warranty that extends it for a further two years but that’s over 3k! My wife and I love the GT because it’s diffetent but in AUS we only get the option of the n20 motor and not the 335 which I’d love. Please help! G. |

The only potential issue with the N20 is the timing and oil pump chains, and the warranty on those has been extended to 7 years/70,000 miles. But still, 3 mos/5,000 km? Do you not have CPO?

What is CPO? I see that a lot on here and have never worked it out.
This car has done 57,000km and has a full service history...I’ll never use stop-start (hate it in my X3) but who knows if the previous owner used it! Is that extended warranty on the timing and oil chains world wide or just in the US? |

Certified Pre Owned.
http://cpo.bmwusa.com/?&origin=bmw_s...RoCj9sQAvD_BwE I assume the extended warranty is worldwide, I don't see how they'd get away with not doing so. |
