Lightbulb F80 m3 LED headlights for an f30?

Not sure about you guys, but I would have ticked the shit out of the box that said LED headlights on my f30 335i haha.

Just wondering if we can retrofit the f80 LED headlights into our f30s?

Hoping its an easy switch, sure its not going to be cheap! But I'm very interested.

Cheers!

huh?

In Australia, there was no LED headlight option for the f30. Only the f80 has the LED option.

Am I missing something?

The F30 and F80 don't share headlights. They won't fit the bumper. It shares lights with the F32.

Yes, they can be retrofitted, but with lots of work and cash since they aren't a direct swap.

Best way to wait for F30 LCI with new LED. Hope they will not change size.

So he'd save the ///M tax by buying the F3X LED headlights then. I know the fenders, bumper and hood is different F32 vs F82. I assumed the headlights were the same cuz they sure do look it.

Part numbers are different between the F30 and F32. The F80s lights are the same part number as the F32. Its like the X5M, which used X6 headlights.

Not sure where exactly the difference is. Haven't looked close enough to determine. I believe its probably in the inner corners next to the grille looking at the photos on the top of this page.

Why would BMW do this? It's the same chassis, you'd think they'd try to use "some" parts that were common. Body panels sure, they'd have to be different for a 2 vs 4door but headlights? WTF?

OP, that's another reason we checked every box when ordering our car. We wanted no regrets and have no regrets.
