Am I missing something or why are these worth $450?

I honestly don't know why to be honest. My guess is that it's a BMW branded part, carrying the M logo with carbon fiber exhaust surround and someone in accounting figured out a price to charge for these. The ones in your link priced out at 267ish USD. The ones for the M2 M Perfomance exhaust are 285 to 300 USD and you need four. Go figure

This still doesn't explain why they are worth the full retail price...at that rate just buy from BMW. You must have got hosed for what ever you paid

Whatever, the link that was provided to the place in the U.K. had them priced at $267 each x 2=$534. I guess somehow you think it unfair of me to ask $450. I don't know what full blown retail is, but it sure as hell is not $225.
What's your point?

Your price is just fine.

They're not cheap by far.

Thanks Rick, judging by my PM's most people think I am from the North Pole, and sport a red suit, with white fur trim.

Here in the US they are $470 with free shipping. So basically these are the same price as yours.

Which means you're probably getting offer's for about 1/2 of that price, am I right?

Selling on a forum most people think you're just going to let them go...believe me...it's annoying. Good luck with the sale and I hope someone makes you a reasonable offer!

Does anyone know if the diameter of the chrome tips on the MPE and the carbon fiber tips here are the same?

I'm mainly interested as I feel like the chrome tips (at 80mm, I believe), could be a little bigger to fill the diffuser!

If the carbon fiber tips are 80mm...then, that makes it less attractive.

I have both style of tips for my MPE - so here is comparison:

So basically the CF tip uses the polished SS tip as a base & then adds the CF outer shell with space between the two (built in air gap prolly for protection of CF from heat damage)

So CF tip is larger dia as seen in the installed pic...

As stated, please note these are brand new, never installed OEM BMW tips, not some crusty used tips that people sell for bargain prices. Same part you would get from BMW at a better price.
