Hope that works out for you!
By comparison, here is mine at -1.5C exhibiting what I think is normal behaviour for BMW petrol engines. Every modern car I've owned (those without carbs or a choke!), e.g. Jag X-Type 2.0D, E60 520d, E90 LCI 330d have never experienced any such behaviour on a cold start. The 330d even went down to -18C at one point and started like a good'un with virtually no delay from the glow plugs. On my 328i, the revs drop to 1000rpm, shudder and pick themselves back up. This seems to be standard behaviour now at +3-4C and below. No pedal input from me. It was once more severe than this at 0.0C but I immediately picked it up with the throttle instinctively to prevent the stall, which it felt like it would've done if I were to leave it. Anyway, take a quick look at my vid - is this normal or have I just grown accustomed to an underlying fault?

It reminds me of my e91 325xi engine stutter diagnosed as an HPFP failure. Hope it's something different as I am myself having a third fuel pump changed (very costly repair offered after complaining at my BMW dealer). The engine started to stutter, things getting worse with time, until it stalled. No code whatsoever being recorded until the appearance tadam... Of the limp mode warning...Dealer told me the pump despite a clean aspect was no more able to deliver the appropriate fuel pressure. It took roughly 2 months between the 1st slight stutter till the morning appearance of that awesome limp mode. I think I will probably wait until BMW fixes all problems forum members reported before ordering any f3x car.

My X3 used to do this on cold start. It was something about how the car is programmed to idle higher on startup for 30-60 seconds, but something was screwy. The revs would jump from 700-1200 and back for 30 seconds, and if I put the car in gear it would surge. I got a software update for the transmission and transfer case which mitigated the issue, but it never fully went away until I unplugged the exhaust valve actuator.

My 328i has been getting the cold start shudders lately. About 10 seconds after I start it the revs begin to drop below 1,000 and 2-3 times now the car would stall out.

Could I be right in saying no 328i owner on this forum is entirely happy with the way their car performs on a cold start? I don't recall seeing anybody saying their cold start is perfect! I seem to have the best case of it as it's only a brief shudder that's gotten less and less severe with time...

BMW dealer called me this morning. They are ordering a new set of injectors to install. Will update once the injectors have been replaced.

Today is day 16 without the car (this time). In the mid 20s overall since getting the car for repairs...
Talked to the dealer yesterday. First they replaced the injectors... and it seems they didnt have the improvement they were seeking. They ordered new plugs (also having to be shipped from Germany). Car is sitting awaiting its new plugs. Ohio Lemon Law 1345.73 Presumption of reasonable number of attempts to repair. It shall be presumed that a reasonable number of attempts have been undertaken by the manufacturer, its dealer, or its authorized agent to conform a motor vehicle to any applicable express warranty if, during the period of one year following the date of original delivery or during the first eighteen thousand miles of operation, whichever is earlier, any of the following apply: (A) Substantially the same nonconformity has been subject to repair three or more times and continues to exist; (B) The vehicle is out of service by reason of repair for a cumulative total of thirty or more calendar days; (C) There have been eight or more attempts to repair any nonconformity that substantially impairs the use and value of the motor vehicle to the consumer; (D) There has been at least one attempt to repair a nonconformity that results in a condition that is likely to cause death or serious bodily injury if the vehicle is driven, and the nonconformity continues to exist. I am actually banking on lemon law at this point. Fingers crossed. I want out. Will keep updating as appropriate.

Received a call today from dealer. After replacing injectors and plugs the problem persisted. They pulled the manifold checking for carbon deposits and it was clean. They are admittedly clueless. They've been on the line with bmwna multiple times and claim an engineer is going to come and look at the car. I've asked them to replace the car to generate a happy customer.

Car has been gone for a month as of today. Got a call from my sales guy that BMW is going to buy it back and to ask what I want instead.

2013 328xi 3900miles so far, it does shudder a little bit when you start it but it isn't too bad and it goes away after 30-60 seconds or when you put it in drive. I usually don't put it in drive right away so.. it's gone after 30-60 seconds

Yeah I get the shudders but only for the first 30 seconds ... Anyone figure out what could be the issue?

Thats the same thing I was told - look into walnut blasting - carbon buildup is a problem - and your shaky starts won't get better - but worse, rougher idle etc. I tried to clean mine myself using CRC then my 48k mike engine blew.
