I can't find anything in the owner guide to suggest that I DID have this ..... so someone offer me some sanity ..... does the 2012 BMW Sat Nav (F31 if it makes any diff), offer VISUAL instruction on the main display ?

Am I going mad ? Did I dream this ?

I have the same problem. No instructions on the screen. Even with split screens

OK set "prospective" in Map settings and the split screen will show the junctions.
BMW call it "Guiding Plus".

No matter what mode I have on the main iDrive screen, I always get turn by turn direction in the black panel display. That's all I want. I certainly don't want Sally SatNav interrupting me every few minutes with dreary instructions I have the left hand side for whatever I'm doing, the split screen on the right showing perspective map with RTTI and leave the directions on the dashboard

I turned off black panel as it annoymed me - but may try it again.

I actually would also like a way to display Journey Computer, Nav Map and Media Playing at the same time....can only get 2

That's what I normally got. Media in screen 1, Nav in screen 2 and directions on the dash

Normally, Map or media on screen 1, journey computer on 2. No way to get all three on at once...?

Also I have noticed arrival time and distance is no longer per mentally displayed like on my e90. Change bad

Can you not put directions on your black panel display? Then you get everything you're after

I've noticed arrival time and whatnot is also displayed in the BPD with the turn by turn thingies.

Just split screen should do it, junctions should appear in the small screen.
