Well prior to moving to the F30, I came from 7+ years in the E63 body style, just over 3 1/2 years in first the 645ci and then the M6, so I was considering the GC prior to moving to the F30. At the time I did order the F30, the GC was just released and very scarce, so no deals were to be had so I thought Id give the new 3er a try since there was no M3 to move to ---Im a 3er lover, had both an E30 and E46 so I go back a ways in the series , and I really liked the new package especially in the Msport guise and the offering of Estoril blue, so I went for it. But after the disaster, I was not going to wait again to build an F30 to my specs, and with all the year end incentives going on, I just said f* it and got back into the car I was eyeing in the first place, the F06.

I have nothing but love for the F30, but truth be told, they are not comparable in any way other than the fact that the are bmws and have 4 doors. The GC is about style, and modern luxury with a sporty feel, extremely well appointed, and no sacrifices. If you want the very best in design and ergonomics, you'll spend some time in the F06, they really spent alot of time on the layout and everything is precise and well thought out. Its spacious but still feels tight, the interior is second to none, and the seats are sublime. You really feel "special" in this car, its just different and I dont want it to sound like a dis on the F30 as I loved it and was absolutely happy to own it, but the GC is just a different level of refinement that has to be experienced to be understood and appreciated...and they shared the same engine but I promise you that the power is much more pronounced and direct even thought the f06 is much much heavier, you feel none of the added heft when you hit the gas pedal, its quite agile for such a large car.

A substantial loss was incurred on the F30 as I had it for merely 2 months, and yes the GC is about 90K as optioned...but you only live once so...

Thanks, very slow but each day a bit of progress is being made. I hope your family is safe and well, there are alot of tragedies all around.

I couldnt agree with you more, the GC is one heck of a car and you are right, you only go around once.
