Seems like BMW's shitty cooling components since the E30 days has not changed on the F30 as well.

With no temp gauges, how did you realize the 'stat was failing? Oil temp increasing? dummy light come on?

HAH! I had an engine check light and got it read at Autozone. Good question, though. I didn't notice any abnormality with temp gauge or anything.

But yeah, I was nervous taking it in the dealer bc of either they detect the tune or somehow has to reset the ECU.

So it triggered a CEL. A code reader told you it was a thermostat huh? Remember what the code was that autozone read by chance?

Dumbest thing..no temp gauge....maybe should get one of those PD3 (?) gauges for the ac vent.......

P0597 was the code. I actually got one of these OBDII wifi module from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o01_s00) for $25 + $10 for OBDII Fusion IOS App which reads CEL codes plus displays SO much stats like temp, boost, and zillion other things live on my phone. The only thing it doesnt do is 0-60, 1/4mile time.

^ Think I'll follow suit on this one. Cheaper than the PD3 to see how I like it before jumping in on about $400 . Thanks Tea!

Nice! I did get the cd. kinda tossed that real fast. I'm still looking for something that can do 0-60 1/4 mile time.

I got OBDLINK LX for my spare Android phone since I'm always running Escort Live App (Radar) and Waze on my iPhone lol. Friend TShoot has the Bluetooth/WiFi version OBDLINK Dongle

The great thing about this Dongle is, the reviews and it really has better hardware. Paired up with the free obdlink app or Torque Pro or Dash Command its perfect.

Anyone with Android and needs Torque Pro or Dash Command shoot me a PM

I would go elm327 wifi and carlyforBMW app excellent code reader and deleter plus coding abilities.

http://www.mycarly.com/product/bmw-app/

It clears shadow codes too. In terms of the dealership don be scared. There should be no reason for them to reflash unless hey have inexperienced techs like my situation ended up being.

So i'm noticing a slight stutter going up hill if i give it moderate to full gas in 3rd gear. Not consistent, but there. No further CEL. I'm thinking about ER catted DP, but worry i may run into tranny torque limit problem.

Overall, still loving the tune. I've dusted a 370z fairlady, F10 528i w/ AFE Scorcher and an E39 M5. The M5 pulled up to me at the light and asked what I did to the car and exhaust; the MPE + GSR combo makes the Craziest WOT noise. Like a jet engine on after burner. Not the nicest noise, but some people like it.

I'm getting the stutter too. I only have the GSR tune and the rest stock. Getting DP in a few days. My stutter is accompanied with vent to atmosphere purge. Let me know if you have any updates on yours and when I get my DV+ installed I'll report back too.

My entire underhood mod list is to do the tune...no DP, CP, etc...so I really want this to be a no-brainer.........
