To add, vehicles without M-Sport (sport also?) do not get the fancy little lights on the B-Pillar airbag piece.

Also of note, the light strips in the door trim suck on my car- even on the brightest setting with orange color selected it is barely noticeable even in the darkest spaces (tried it out in a lights-out garage). The lights really should be brighter. I also think they should keep the footwell lighting on as part of the ambiance lights, but at a lower brightness than when entering/exiting the vehicle. I know this is a BMW forum, but go take a look at the new Audi A6/7/8- they know how to do interior ambiance lighting.

They actually do, but very very weak. I don't understand why they are so weak.

I like that there are two options for colors: classic and modern. I'm a big fan of classic - I think it flows with the dash lighting better. I just wish it was a little brighter (on the highest setting).

So I also have the classic and modern options, but some for reason I can't get it to be as bright as Gazwas. I've used the Nav menu to dial it up as high as it will go. Can this be adjusted by the dealer?

It looks like the lights are much dimmer in the F32/4series
We checked a couple new cars on the dealer lot and they all had very dim lights in the upper part of the door. Also doesn't looks like it can be changed via coding. The lights in the E92 have been much brighter and visible

Looks like I`m out, because my dealer could not tell. He had not seen it before so just had to wait and see.
But on the 5 series here, there is an option called "atmospheric light", which you don`t have on the F30/31
