I like my seat low, but dang, the top of the wheel is even with the top of his head!

The 330d consumes barely more on highway but packs a lot more power

I have owned my 328d X-Drive Msport for a year now. The car is absolutely the best overall car I have owned to drive back and forth to work. I have owned multiple ///M cars, including a E46 M3, E34 M5, Dinan E60 M5, and I currently have a E28 M5. My 328d is a joy to drive, and it gets excellent gas mileage. I sold my E60 M5 do to a monthly gas bill of $600 a month, and having to add a liter of oil every 1k miles. The E60 M5 was also out of warranty, so I was getting sick of all the money going out the window just to get to work. I also noticed that I was never able to go over 100mph ever due to traffic and such. Yes the 328d is much slower, and it doesn't sound half as good as my M5 did, but it handles excellent, and it does everything else a car could do better. I did install BC adjustable Coilovers, and I nice set of 19" wheels. This made a big difference in the overall feel of the car. Much more stable, low center of gravity, and damn does it look good. I have a couple people every week at stop lights that comment on the car. I would obviously love to have the 330d or 335d that Europe gets, but for now I am sold on a diesel as my daily. My E28 M5 is resting in the garage anytime I want a raw feeling I6 with a true manual.

Try beat this in a pre-facelift 320d non efficient dynamics version.

Yea man, nice post. I wish BMW had less quality issues, I've had my horn(s) stop working and my left active headlight randomly gets twitchy. My center console squeak has stopped recently, not sure why but I'm not complaining ;-)

Yes the horn went bust on mine too but was covered under the warranty. Few others had the same issues as well and were covered too. Looks like a model defect.
