RWCarbon lip spoilers

Hi All,
Has anyone here fitted either of the RWCarbon spoilers? I'm getting the mirror caps but the postage is extreme to australia, so it may be more economical to throw in a lip spoiler too.
They have two listed:
- BMTS3001 $249.38 http://www.rwcarbon.com/41/9/0/5/bmt...k-spoiler.html
- bmwf30003 $269.95 http://www.rwcarbon.com/41/9/0/9/bmw...k-spoiler.html
Can anyone tell me what the major differences between the two are, and what fitment quality opinions you have.

Thanks

It's funny you bring up the listing, Part Number: BMTS3001. I was just reviewing the site and noticed that listing was live. That is a really old listing that should not be up. The only performance style trunk spoiler we stock is the bmwf30003 one. It is made using real vacuum formed carbon fiber. Please feel free to PM me with any further questions you may have.

I actually just got my spoiler from rwcarbon delivered yesterday.

Can anyone point me to some installation instructions? What method did you use to seal the spoiler to the car? Is there a glue or a tape which could be used?

Which is better?

Thanks,

For any trunk spoiler, the 3M double sided foam/tape is sufficient. That is all they use for installing the OEM ones at the port. I'm sure you can find a video somewhere, but just make sure the surface is clean, apply the tape to the spoiler first, align carefully, and stick on.

Ours and the BMW performance trunk spoilers are identical and use the same 2x2 twill weave CF.

3M double sided tape works the best

This is good to know, because a lot of the replicas are angled differently.

3M double sided tape is prefect to attach the spoiler.

The easiest way to uninstall any spoiler is with a heat gun and fishing line or floss. Heat up the tape underneath and saw through it with the line. Once it is off, use some goo gone to remove the residue and follow it up with wax to reseal the clear coat.

The 3M™ VHB™ Tape 4991 is perfect. But get a small roll of it. Should only cost 10 USD or about 13 AUD

I wish I could help out more, but I am not very familiar with the stores over in Australia. I know most hardware stores over here will carry small rolls of it.

Definitely cant buy the 3M tape in Australia. If you sold the spoiler with the tape pre-fitted, I would buy one in a heart beat.
