I just hate the gap. I think its time to go 20's with these on my car.

I think I've seen your car while stuck at rush hour traffic intersection on my way back from work (all along Mira Mesa Blvd to La Jolla 5 exit)

when you said it was 'comfy/cushy' it is not, did you mean the ride is harsh, or did you mean, it's not as fluffy as the standard Msport susp?

Describing such is so subjective. I'll say its more tuned for maybe autocross than daily. Much less comfy than the msport standard. But the trade off is better handling all around. You will feel the road through he steering wheel. Bumps are more pronounced because everything is stiffer. Smaller bumps are felt and would probably get old if the road you were on for 30 mins was a rut filled mess. Here in So Cal, the freeways are pretty good and the ride is glassy. I hope that helps a little. I wouldn't change it at all. Cutting a over pass at 90 from the outside in with little consideration for the brake is inspiring. Im confident I can put this car anywhere I want. Drive safe

The suspension upgrade isn't for the faint of heart.

My wife definitely doesn't enjoy it now that we're driving around the pot-holed ridden New Jersey streets....but for me, it's actually as stiff as those boy-toy race cars, the Evo's and Sti's of yonder years. I LOVE it.

But it's for a very specific driver: the person who would buy an M3. If you're fine with that level of comfort, you're good.

1) Post from jamesems on 11-20-2012, 8:02pm:
OK, so you'd need different springs. The part numbers you'd need for the front springs is 31336860629 x 2, for manual transmission, 31336860630 x 2, for automatic transmission, and for the rear springs (for both auto and manual trans) is 33536860620 x 2. The springs are $92.40 each.

2) Post from ronin951 on 03-02-2013, 10:31pm:
I looked up the spring codes and they are as follows:

Front springs:
335i 6MT - 31336860629
335i Auto - 31336860630
328i Both - 31336860628

Rear springs:
All - 33536860620

http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=14394765
However, when I logged on BMW's electronics parts catalog with my VIN, and looked up the Spring Table with the M Performance Suspension kit, the numbers I got are:

Front Coil Spring: 31336860630
Rear Coil Spring: 33536860621

QUESTIONS:
- Does any know what the correct part numbers for the springs are??
- Are there any 335i RWD 6MT owners with this setup and what part numbers are you using??

Thank you.
That's very odd. I sourced the info from the same place you did. At least for the 328. I noticed that tool can be kinda awkward and it gets confused real easy. Maybe try again w/o VIN or use different combo's to see if you can eventually arrive at the same thing we have. Who knows, maybe they changed it up or it's an issue with spring availability in Canada.

Try getting an aftermarket company to cover a manufacturers defect...even if they DO, you're stuck with the labor bill. Not the case with a bmw part.

Regardless, your money and peace of mind, not mine...
hey look, here's a thread with bmw not covering suspension under warranty

DHP versus static suspension failure?

apples and oranges.

BUT, I did check my extended platinum level warranty with BMW, and they do not indeed cover it, so I stand corrected.

haha, im glad! just watch out for any potholes and you should be good. im still debating on whether or not to get the performance suspension; waiting for other kits to hit the US market and get some reviews.

So while I'm waiting for my back ordered parts to become available, I was thinking that I should go ahead and swap out my OEM 396 style wheels with Apex EC-7. I'm on the verge of placing the order, but just figured out a potential issue of doing the wheels before the suspension.

Will the BMW service center be willing to do a wheel alignment after doing the install of the M-Perf suspension if the wheels are not BMW wheels?

about 20% less firm than an M3...
Shiva.... it has been quite some time since you made the above comments. After having had driven the car for a few months with these M-Perf coilover set, do you still feel that the ride has remained comfortable in general? Still feel the ride is 20% lesser stiff than M3? In one of your recent posts I thought you mentioned somewhere that this kit is not for the faint-hearted.... that seemed a bit contradicting to your original impressions on the kit.

My install is scheduled next Thursday and I'm crossing my fingers that the ride is not going to be nauseous -- classical example of having second thoughts about going ahead with this install. (hint: I hate roller coasters!!)
