I've got 6000 hid fogs put in. Haven't had any problems since they were installed. Took maybe 20 mins and looks great. Match almost perfectly right away, after a little while to break them in they'll be perfect. If you're thinking about doing it, do it now! :P

Morimoto Elite Systems 5k FTW anything more you start to lose lumens and the detail on the road etc.

I would recommend nothing short of this company. HID's, this is what they do, day in and day out, nothing else. Me personally, I use companies that specialize on one thing so I know they are focused on what I need. Tons of cool stuff on the website for complete retrofits to kits. My profession has me working with this type of lamp system on a much larger scale (upwards of 15000 watts) so I understand the entire premise behind it. Components are key here if you want to do it right, and for automotive aftermarket I have found nobody that does it as well as these guys. Either way read about Morimoto on google, you'll see the reviews are tops and they come with a 5 year warranty to boot.....

Have fun.....
I ended up ordering these in 6000. hopefully they rock!!! Theres no way I was paying 150 for something with an alien on it! lol

truth is hid is aftermarket point bottom line. They come from the same place and just sticking different label on them. Its aftermarket and will not be compatible as your own car. Trust me on that i been all around the hid possible. I was driving a volvo before and those hid expensive and less expensive does the same dam job. Point is- if you drive a bmw you don't want it like a honda 1990 with those killing dead headlight.

Well, I went to get them installed today only to have one of the installers tell me that these are not what he would use and that they are junk. He continued by saying that even if he did install them, he would have to remove the bumper. Ummm.......bullshit. I am just going to do it myself and take pics as I go. I just need to find a good mounting spot for the ballasts.

If I could figure out how to post pictures on here I photographed my install as well, step-by-step. The install was a royal pain because you have to access the rear of the headlight housing through the wheel well lining panel. Also, the "clips" that hold the stock bulb in place are annoying. Nonetheless, the mod is very doable and makes a HUGE difference.

since there is a round circle that covers the hole to get to the bulbs........will the ballast fit inside there??? because I dont think you can mount them outside of headlight right??

Ok, so my dealer installed my low beam kit and fog light kit. They look fantastic!! I was there with the technician, so I could see how he was doing this. It was very straight forward, but I would not say easy. He did have to cut a hole in the fog light entry port, but that is no big deal as the wire harnesses have water proof grommets already attached! GOOD call on that one UE! The most annoying thing that he ran into was the clip to attach the bulb. He had to bend it a little to get it back into the housing. It fit perfectly after he did this. He also mounted everything inside of each wheel well behind the arch shroud. It looks VERY clean and there is no way to tell they are aftermarket. Seriously......these HIDs look great! Thank you again to Danny and the gang at Underground Euros for making error free kits with such high quality! I am impressed. I will post pics soon.

$300 for DRL bulbs seems a bit steep, no?

The tech at the dealership zip tied mine into the frame work in front of each wheel under the fender well shroud. It is a perfect place as long as you 3m double side tape it and then zip tie all of the wiring up inside. It is very clean as well. You will see what I am talking about once you remove the shroud. Oh yeah, you will need to remove the wheel as well to get a really clear view of what you are doing. My car was on the lift at the shop, so things were easy to see.

Im confused because to get into the headlight to the bulb, you have to remove the circle thingy.... Are you talking about the ballast being inside the headlight with the circle thing shut? Or did he leave the circle part removed to let the wires go into the bulb? I tried looking at it and yes...I will definitely have to take tires off...there hardly any room to properly see
