KW variant 3 coilovers on xDrive

4 months after ordering (but that's another story...) KW variant 3 coil overs are finally installed. They were definitely worth the wait. I've already changed from OEM run flats to Michelin Pilot Sport a/s 3. The tires helped more than anticipated but the increased grip also accentuated the bouncing, leaning and general lack of composure with the stock suspension. I also have the car at the highest settings recommended by KW. This is still a bit lower than stock.

The ride over crummy Seattle pavement is at least as good as stock. No matter how rough the surface (though not yet tried Forest Service roads), there is no knocking, squeaking or such. I have about 500 miles on them.

The handling, especially with dips, etc., is completely transformed. Why did the stock rear have almost no rebound dampening?? Turn-in has gone from mush to sharp and understeer is greatly decreased. I don't track my car, so I'm not driving it even at 8/10s, but up to that point the car has gone from "what the hell are you doing" to fun & secure.

It surprised me how much the lean was reduced, given the compliant ride. I'm guessing that lowering the CG even an inch helps a lot.

In my view, this is how the car should have come from the dealer.

Flattering that you'd like to see it, but with KW's maximum height setting the car looks unchanged. When I saw the car in the lot I had to get underneath and see the yellow springs before I knew that they'd finished. (A previous attempt was aborted when it was discovered that coil overs for a 5-series had been shipped...). Call it a sleeper?

If you don't mind, how many labor hours, and what was the cost?
Thanks.

That's odd because my KW v2 at their highest setting the car is slammed.
