What happens in Pull Ahead?

Does anyone know the details of the pull ahead program? How are things actually handled?

Main questions:
  • What happens with milage excess? Is it pro-rated? Forgiven? Do you just pay for what you've done so far?
  • Same thing for wear and tear?
  • If you left MSDs, do you get them back/able to transfer them?
  • The current program is 6 payments, does that mean I could concievably be in a new car 7 months in front?

My lease matures next April but I'm already over my lease miles. My dealer is telling me to hold tight until September for Pull Ahead but all I see is $ signs every time I get out of my car.

For current program - your lease has to have a maturity date before January 1st 2015.

Dealers have to take Pull-ahead cars in trade. Mileage overage and excess wear and tear are added to the payoff. Let's say BMW puts your promotional payoff at 30K, but you have 1000 miles more than you are supposed to at this point. They will put actual cash value same as the payoff, but the payoff will be higher by $200 for the miles and whatever damage is on the car.

MSD's are refunded back.

Are the miles prorated. For example, if you signed a 10k/year lease and are 18 months into your lease but have 18k miles, how do they charge you?
