Not sure how much different on the 335 vs the 328, but on the 328 you remove the interior wheel well which is like 6 screws and then 2 screws to remove the fog housing.

It's pretty easy to get in there to remove / add the fog light bezels, brackets, etc.
I was able to do it in a day. Jack up the car, remove the wheel, fender liner, and bottom splash guard. Once those parts are out of the way, unbolt the aux radiator and hang with some cable ties. The plumbing is flexible, but wouldn't want the thing flopping around on it's own. Once the radiator is free, the air ducting can come out. If you already have fog lights, unscrew the light body, and remove that first. Next cones the bracket. There are 2 screws below the vents if you had fog lights, or 3 (one just behind the horn) if you didn't have fog lights. Take out a few plastic rivet things that hold the bracket to the bumper. Remove the bracket. Next comes the fog light bezel or grill piece. That is a few plastic clips, and requires a bit of force to un-snap from the bumper. Reverse to assemble. Removing / Adding fog lights to the F30 can be done in a few hours, and without a bumper removal. The hard part is retrofitting the fogs to the F30, as wiring does not exist for the lights. You would need to add the left / right power leads to the FEM, and code the module to do something when the fog light button is pressed. (also completely possible). |
