People who coded 6NH to 6NK Bluetooth Audio

Anyone using google maps with iphone 5 or 6 who did this coding? I coded my 6NH to 6NS. No problems at all, everything works. But google maps when connected via BT will announce turns (it will interrupt if music is playing) before. Now after enhanced BT coding, it is just silent. Telephone and Music are active in BT connection. Apple maps works fine. Is this google app related?

CE_DEVICE_SPEECH_RECONGNITION is to enable Siri Voice, and it requires NBT.

Sorry to noob out here - i just got a 2014 328 (USA), am I correct that I can add bluetooth audio(music)?

Of course, I told the dealer "it looks like it's just a coding thing, right?" and he said it's a $500.00 option that is done at the factory...

Thanks for clarifying, would love to find someone in the Boston area to help with this!

Now with iOS 8.1 we can just say "Hey Siri" as long as USB is plugged in and it works just as well as Siri eyes-free

So long as car has a Combox / NBT Head Unit (Nav Pro) you can.

Just a note,

I was able to successfully code my US 2014 328i with no nav or audio options from 6NH to 6NK. There is a combo box in my trunk (for bmw assist?) I had to "code" HU_ENTRY and CMB_MEDIA (I think that was their names).

I've been reading these forums (really impressive!

) for a while and it's now time I ask you my first question.

I want to replace 6NH by 6NK.

I purchased an OBD2/enet cable, downloaded Esys... and eventually discovered that there is no combox in my car's trunk, only a fuse box. My car is a first-half 2013 European F31 with business navigation (606) and basic USB/BT (6NH), so I suppose there's a combox, but integrated in the NBT. Am I right?

If I am... well, can I still use Esys and the OBD2 cable? Where can I find my car's OBD2 connector to connect it?

No. Your 606 Business Navigation Head Unit is not NBT. It is likely HU_CHAMP2, and it does not have an integrated Combox.

Your OBD Port is under the driver's side dash near the boot release.

No. You cannot have EBT without a Combox.

You can code with E-sys since you drive an F chassis vehicle. If you had an E Chassis vehicle then it would be a different story.

OK... So I will be able to code my car, but not 6NK which requires a combox. It's a pity as I was primarily interested in having album art displayed, but I also found a few other improvements not related to BT/USB communication that I'd like to code as well. I didn't waste my $50 completely after all.

Most likely since your car has 606 Business Nav, it will be capable of being coded for EBT. Most cars built after 05/2014 have Bluetooth Streaming now as part of 6NH.

- But today i have discovered that i have OBD under the Steering Wheel; so my question is?

-What kind of cable i need?
