I have recently changed my DME because I upgraded to MPPK and the kit came with a new (VIN specific coded) DME. I took part my old unit and asked dealer if i can resell it. They said no as the DME units come coded for a particular chassis number / VIN. Is that true? I see a number of units (used) sold on eBay and was wondering if I can recover some $ of my upgrade.. Can this be sold and re-programmed, re-used?
