Pro Media - should I have a USB port in my glove box?

So I took delivery of my 330xd on Xmas eve and I was expecting there to be a USB port in the glove box but cannot find it.

Can any one advise if there should be one? I have the professional media package with pro nav & 8.8" screen.

The usb port is only in the glovebox if you have the CIC ProNav. NBT has just the one in the armrest.

Thanks both - shame as I would have liked the additional to keep a stick connected, rather than swapping back and forth with my iPhone

Nevermind

Agreed. What they should do is sell a REASONABLY priced thing that attaches to the snap-in port to provide another generic USB port.

I think they stopped the glovebox USB port with MY14 and beyond. Don't worry you're not missing out - that port was good for importing/exporting user profiles, and importing music onto the car's HD.

Another easter egg - there is a 12v power socket under the glove box, towards the center console (if a passenger was sitting in the front passenger seat, it would be close to their left knee).

Has anyone tried putting a USB hub in the centre console?

I personally haven't tried it, but this thread will tell you people don't have good results. It's kind of crazy that a car in this day and age has one true USB port. I wish BMW would put two USB ports that both would function the same (one in center console, other in glovebox), and it would also be nice to have one on every door (just USB power so I can charge my device!)
