iOS 7 and the BMW Connected app

Does anyone else have an issue where the BMW Connected app no longer prevents the phone from locking?

The BMW Connected app (at least the one available in the US iTunes store) has only a few issues. I got this message from the BMW Connected app team (they are surprisingly responsive; I only wish the rest of BMW was as "connected" to their customers are these folks are):

Regarding iOS 7 compatibility:

The BMW Connected app is generally compatible with iOS 7.

There are two known issues:

1) AppSwitcher:
Unfortunately switching between 'BMW Apps ready' applications in the vehicle
is currently not possible with iOS 7. This is a known restriction caused by
changes in iOS 7. We are already working on a solution to support app
switching in the vehicle for iOS 7 as soon as possible, this solution will
then be rolled out to all 'BMW Apps ready' applications.

In the mean time, you can start other 'BMW Apps ready' applications on the
iPhone screen. For safety reasons, this should only be done while the
vehicle is stationary.

2) Calendar:
The Calendar feature is still compatible with iOS 7. However, if the
Calendar feature does not show any entries,
a) access to your calendar might be denied (you can grant access to the
Connected app in the "Privacy" Settings screen of your iPhone),
b) or the relevant calendar is not yet / not anymore selected in the car
(while the empty calendar is shown, press the OPTION key on the iDrive
controller and open "Select calendar").
We have received some reports that b) was caused by an update to iOS 7, but have not been able to reproduce this in our labs.

Thanks Yobyot. I might get in touch with them and see whether it's just an isolated case.
