Old Vossens New F32. Please Help

I just got my new F32 with m package. Ive been reading a lot of threads but want to see if someone can give me an exact answer. I have vossen cv3s from my last car and hope to put them on the F32. I want to be as low as possible without any rubbing issues. Wheels are 20x9 +38 in the front and 20x10.5 +45 in the rear. Based on what Ive read, the rear will fit nicely but Im not sure about the front. I also need to know what tires and springs to get. I do not want to get coilovers because they aren't in my budget right now. I read that 235/35 and 275/30 are the way to go. I have no clue what springs to go with but seems like H&R super sports are the majority. So based on the wheels and its offsets, what tires and springs should I get to be the lowest without rubbing issues? Ill be buying these this week based on the replies I get. Im excited! Thanks

I am in the same shoes with same exact vehicle except for my rims are cv7s. From what i have read so far it will fit. I think your offset is 42 on a 10.5 wheel, unless your rim is 10" wide with 45 offset which would make it perfect. I know CV3s were made in more sizes offsets than cv7s. your fronts are also 35 offset and not 38, unless your fronts are 8.5 inch wide. Vossen 20 inch wheel sizes/offsets are pretty standard.

So sort answer they will fit, may be too aggressive. I am conteplating selling or trading mine for 20x10 +45 rears..

Yes I think your offset on the rear is 42 as thats what was only available for the BMW at the time. The best offset for the rear on 10.5 is 45 and the front is 35 on 9" Being a 38 offset on the front you might rub slightly turning sharp on the inside. I cannot remember how much room there is though between the shock and tire. I know it was really close. A 38 should be 3mm closer to the center of the car so it might. As I suggest, best to call Vossen directly, they are easy to get a hold of and know their shit. Like I told Roman, you can get the rear hubs shaved to be a 45 offset. I ran 42 for a year without rubbing with H&R coil overs. I changed to KW coils and since they are a softer spring, I was rubbing. So many people shave hubs especially those that like to drop lower than the factory anticipates so you are safe. Vossen said not to shave off more than 3mm so I went 2.5mm and solved all my issues.

I am thinking of taking 3mm off the rear hub. Test fitted rears yesterday and they look aggressive..

Here is a picture of mine when it was 42 with -2.2 neg camber. Didn't rub. When I switched to KW and it was rubbing it actually was rubbing not at the top, but at 2 o'clock where the bumper cover meets the body seam.

Is negative camber affecting tire wear? I don't want to drop it unless my wheels look ridiculous.. What do u think about stock suspension set up with 2.2 neg camber?

No it is not. The tread is wearing even at -2.2. When I put the KWs on that was the first thing I tried to do was to increase the camber and maxed it out to -3 and that showed significant tread wear after just 500 miles. I've put 19,000 miles on my tires now and the rears are still good inside to outside.

Thanks man, how do you think neg camber would look with stock suspension?

I don't think you will need it. There should be plenty of room at stock height.

The most important consideration is the overall tire diameter which has to be within 1% between front and rear for xdrive vehicles. Best set up for our cars is either 235/35/20 fronts with 275/30/20 rears, or 245/35 with 285/30 rears.

romanonj I see you have a very similar set up in terms of wheel specs and the tires I'm trying to get. Your last post said 245/35 285/30. Do you know if that will rub with h&r sport springs? they say it drops the front 1.5" and the rear 1.2".
