Hi Shawn, need your assistance/guidance please

I had coded my F30 previously using E-Sys version 3.18.4 and 48.1 PSdZData. Took the car in for service and they applied an update and I guess now I can't use the previous stuff.

When checking I-Step Current, it's F020-13-07-505 (previously F020-12-07-532). Can you PM me in the right direction of what I'll need to recode my F30 again please~

You can code playback of video from the internal HD, but not copy as far as I know. Or rather, I don't think anyone's figured out how to allow copying of video (iDrive basically just acts like it isn't on the usb stick when trying to copy).

Edit: Actually, there IS ENT_MC_VIDEO_SUPPORT on the HU_NBT but it doesn't seem to work.

If you have E-Sys, it is very easy to know. The ECU will be either HU_CIC or HU_NBT, which is self explanatory.

Have you played with coding a '14 yet? I just got a '14 335 and want to code some of the same stuff as I had on my '13 328.. Now that I have Nav + the new touch idrive I should be able to do more right?

Also, everything I've seen so far relates to coding using a pc, and guidance on Mac?

No. I have not coded a 2014 yet. However, we have been coding 2013 NBT systems in F10's for a year now, granted they don't have the iDrive Touch Controller. With them, pretty much the only additional coding functionality is USB Video.

Where 2014 with the new iDrive 4.2 becomes interesting I think is where 6NS replaces 6NK for Enhanced Bluetooth functionality, and what may be possible in regards to BMW Online, BMW Apps, Internet, and BMW Live.

As for MAC OS, Coding is identical, and the only difference is the setup:

Token is needed only for FDL Coding. You can modify VO, VO Code, Import and Activate FSC Codes, and Flash ECU's without it.

Does anyone know if it is possible to code using this software to enable factory alarm that was installed after car was built (i.e. my car did not come with alarm installed, but I am purchasing it and installing it after). I know the dealer can code/activate the alarm, but would like to avoid the charge. Thanks in advance.
