Discolored ventilation grilles.

hello, I just bought my next bmw. F30 335i. the only thing that makes me angry is the white coating / discoloration on the grilles from the air conditioning. does anyone know why it is and how to get rid of it? How to restore color?

You might be able to put some plastics restorer on it to get the color back.

Something like this, but there are many brands out there that sell a similar product.

I'd recommend getting them really damp with 303. They will look streaky for a few days, but they have definitely lost some color from heat cycles and/or sun damage and need some hydration and protection. Keep liberally applying 303 every few days until they come back to life... they should recover at least 80-90%.

Then, make sure to use a UV protecting vinyl/leather dressing for your interior at least every few months. 303 recommends every month, but I'm too lazy for that. Every 3 months has kept my 2012 beautiful.
