From past experience you just have to pay it, then make a claim to Customs and Exises, they refunded me the difference pretty quickly to be fair.

You can question it - I ordered some kids dance clothes from the U.S. And got hit with duty vat and fees.

I wrote them with a copy of the invoice and customs tariff code etc and got my vat back, just paid 5% duty I think....

£120 pounds import duties. WTF. Got mine from 3a sure I only paid in the region of £24 or so.

Definitely nothing like £120. Have they got the figures right. There are some numptys working there. Tracked my diffuser across the world with no issues. Then some clown at parcel force put the wrong post code on the customs demand and sent it to a local school. Luckily a lady there knew me and brought it in for me or they would have returned it to Taiwan.

Just home from 4 days away with work to find my prcekfirce notification of duties to pay. Thankfully only £25.78 to pay- £12.28 vat and then the fee on top.
