Canada vs. US - TPMS

I'm considering purchasing a set of used OEM wheels from a person in Canada. Will I have any issues retrofitting TPMS sensors to work in the US? I've done some research, but have found conflicting information. Any insight would be appreciated!

The sensors will work fine. For whatever reason, they get the crummy ABS based TPMS, while we get the wheel sensors. The wheels are the same though, so the sensors will work.

No tpms in Canada so you would need sensors for your U.S. car.
