If I had to be super nit picky and wanted an absolutely perfect vehicle, this would be my list:

- Anthracite wood trim for MSport models.
- Full Black Panel instrument cluster like the F10.
- HUD visible with Polarized Sunglasses
- Smaller Key fob like the new X5

By the way:

1. The MSport brakes dust like crazy.
2. If you feel like you're missing out on the LED headlamps from the F32, don't; the HIDs are very good.
3. The touch pad is used for data entry and not much more.

Can you post some pics of the new NBT nav and touchpad? How does the touchpad work in navigating maps? I thought it was supposed to allow you to scroll without launching Interactive Map.

Congrats!

I'm pretty sure you have to be in the interactive map to scroll and zoom in/out with the touch controller. Will confirm tonight.

A lot of tech for me to get up to speed on, lol!....and its my first BMW too!

You may be able to see the HUD with polarized sunglasses. If the polarization lines up just right you will see nothing. If it's not quite lined up, the HUD image is dim (maybe too dim to see). If you are lucky, the polarization on your sunglasses doesn't line up at all, and it will look fine.

I have to tilt my head a little to see the HUD clearly with my sunglasses on. I'm sure it looks ridiculous... I've since ordered (prescription) non-polarized sunglasses to keep in the car.

You can barely see it. Usually try to wear lighter colored glasses. I haven't looked to see if I increased the brightness, if that will help at all.

Guys it's late after a long day at work, but, I managed to put together a quick and rough video on the touch controller. I messed up a few times (called the car a 2013, when its a 2014); but I think you'll still get the general gist of it. Enjoy!

One other thing I noted on the 2014s, they come coded to remember your last setting for ASS. So, you don't have to turn it off each time or take your car in to get coded.

Thanks for the video! The nav seems extremely responsive and very nice. I'm excited to get mine. Also, that's great news about ASS. I was wondering if they'd give in and do something like that.

No problem. I know how hard the wait can be. I'll post some more pics over the weekend to show you guys the MSport Brakes etc and possibly another small walk around video.

The thing I miss the most when I'm unable to see the HUD (as a result of my polarized glasses) is the ability to scroll through my music list and select a song.

Well, there is a work around to that. If you go into I-drive and turn off the HUD, the scroll list moves down to the instrument cluster.

All models are being coded that way now from the factory. Just so everyone knows

Would my 2013 which finished production in late June have this as well?

Although I can't confirm, I've read in a couple places that the "new" Ray Ban Polarized collection improves the HUD clarity, I guess they cut the glass in the lenses in a different manner, improving performance. Something you might want to look into though.

I should note that I can still see the HUD, but it becomes very dim with polarized lenses. I have an Rx, so my sunglass lenses have to be made, rather than just off the shelf.

I would expect BMW to engineer its way out of the auto start/stop problem.

Since the 3 series came out, every reviewer hated its operation and almost two years gone by and BMW still couldn't manage to improve the auto start/stop system! Instead they are letting us turn it off permanently

Just spoke with my CA and the car will arrive at the dealership tonight, and I should be ready to pick it up tomorrow. Fingers crossed... I don't want to wait until Monday if I can help it!
