Its started.... FINALLY!

So, I finally got time to get down to BMW and order the first mods for my F30... Ive had her since black friday and have yet to do ANYTHING.

I picked up the M-Performance grilles and pre-ordered the sport line trim pieces with the whiskers that go around the fog lamps in the front. Cant wait to pick those up then I can put everything on!

Going from this:

adding the sport trim pieces like these (on pre-order):

and picked up the M-performance grilles today:

Shes also getting much needed window tint next saturday! Yay!

Ill post pics once Im done installing the trim pieces. Should I do a DIY on the install? Anyone interested in that?

Im in the process of saving up for the rims and suspension. I am planning on getting the new rims this month and then prob the Bilstein PSS10s in the next few months.. they are hard to get a hold of for this car still... The rims are going to be VMR (prob V710s) matte black.. 19x10 rear, and 19x8.5 front (aggressive offset). I will go with about a 2" lower once I get the coilovers.. But they are both ride height adjustable and dampening control so I can set them to whatever looks best. I had them on my last car and LOVE them.

Other than that, I dont want to go all out... possibly an intake in the future and exhaust... we'll see.. for now the suspension and wheels are a MUST. This car is no fun to drive as is....

No fun to drive as is? City driving is boring period.

And the whiskers will need to be custom fitted. Base line and all other lines have different bumpers. It is strange. Ive researched this half a year ago.

Well, I STILL havent managed to do an official photo shoot since installing the trim pieces.... but here are some shitty iPhone pics... Just picked up some 19x8.5 front 19x9.5 rear VMR V721s in HyperSilver the other day!! Excited to get them on the car, but gotta get some rubber for them first... Ill post pics as soon as they get put on...

My friend just picked up a 2011 328i the other day, and he took these pics..

That E90 looks so outdated compared to F30. Plus green color doesn't help it much...

Looks like he replaced the baseline trim with the whole sport line grill trim which has the whiskers included.

I thought the bumpers have different mounting points. Maybe neweer models dont. Dont take that suspension to the canyons. You should be going to the track with myself alpine and mocohead. Put all those performance mods to actual work.

I bought the sport line trim pieces and whiskers and installed them on my regular bumper... A few dremel mods and good to go... yea, I wouldnt think BMW would actually make different bumpers for all the diff trim pieces but they are slightly diff... Overall easy install...

That E90 is Greenish Grey.. Kinda an odd color but he likes it and Im happy for him...

I would love to take her out to the track some time once coilovers are installed.. But the canyons are fun, free, and close... So...

VMR posted the pic of my car today! These are the rims I ended up getting... Will be getting some nice M-Performance Springs to lower about 10mm while I wait for the Bilstein Coilovers to reach the US...

Nice wheels SwampCat, I like the concavity. It's gonna look really sweet once it's lowered.

Looks really good. Wonder if I should have gotten mineral grey....

These wheels seem perfect for this car too.

OK, I added a little low to see what it will look like... The differences are subtle, but I did three different versions... I dont know if I want to go super low... but to me all of these look good. Yes, I had a little too much time on my hands and Im excited to get the suspension on...

Hey, this car looks familiar

Nice photochops! I test fitted V721 before going with the V705. Overall, I think the 721 suites the F30 body/style much more than other options out there. They will probably be the next setup on my car too, but in a different fitment & finish.
