Valentine One false K band alerts

So I did some research and looks like its due to the lane departure sensors...I looked and saw that I need to disable POP on my V1 which is the 't' feature in the program mode.....my V1 is software 3.826 which doesn't allow me to edit the 't' feature. Does anyone know a way to turn off POP without disabling the K band all together on my detector? or have another solution? Thanks!

edit: Looks like I can't read. J is what I need.

Do you have active cruise control? I didn't realize lane departure warning used radar.

I presume you saw this?

Nah, it's actually the blind spot warning system that I suspect to be using pulsed K band radar.

i don't. its the lane departure that causes the false alarms. Yep, I used that guide to disable the J section and no problems anymore.

I'm getting the same alert, but only when driving near late model Lexus/Audi's that must have active cruise control and or blind spot detection. Of course, my Valentine 1 is a little older than yours as I don't have POP as an option.

Yep, sadly it's time to upgrade your V1. Turning off POP or turning on TSR rejects K band falses from these common sources. Radar based driver assistance is only going to get more popular.

For what it's worth, they upgraded my firmware free of charge several years back when I was getting false laser hits due to then new LED brake lights. It's worth a call.

If you have to pay to upgrade, don't forget to check eBay for the resale value of your current version. Due to the international appeal, sometimes you end up ahead if you sell your current one and buy a new one.
