Mppk and Mpe with DME sotfware update

Hi,

I own a 2013 F30 335I M sport. I had Drivetrain Malfunction error, and took the car to the dealer, they change 3 injectors and sparkplugs and they did a software update to the DME.
Now the sound of the exhaust when you accelerate has been reduced in 50%,
and the sound of the burbluing also is not the same, is reduced about 50%

The mpe is there, and I know that the mppk is still there cause they show me in the computer that is installed, also i can see in the I-Drive the horsepower and torque instruments at 400 CV and 480 Nm.

Do I have to go back with the update?

Thanks in advance

More than likely they did not re-apply the MPPK software update on top of the DME update. This was also true on the N54 engine with Dinan (or other flash tune). Take your car back and have them re-install the MPPK software, and be sure to bring your unlock code with you if you have it. Should be in a red envelope.

Agreed. With a new DME you will definitely need the power kit reinstalled.

Short story: I took again the car to the dealer, and they installed again the mppk in front of me. Now i can feel the burbling again, but IMO the sound of the MPE is not the same as it was.

Yes. As they changed 3 injectors, they told me that BMW advised them to install the last update. I don't know what to tell your SA... jajaja.
